It's worth revisiting the very foundation of our registry! At the USGOS Pig Society, we've always known that pedigree is paramount. That's why, from the very beginning, we focused on true bloodline over color groups.

We prefer to keep it simple! Please note this is a foundational policy, not a new change.

We don't use color groups. Instead, our focus is on the verified bloodline. Why? It's all about focusing on proven genetics. Our pedigree clearly shows that the bloodline is carried from father to boar, and that core lineage is consistent across all stock.

The fact is, all boars inherit their father's bloodline. This principle is the bedrock of our breeding, and this decision solidifies our commitment to tracing that proven lineage, regardless of UK or US stock designation.

This founding decision helps us highlight the incredible genetic heritage of our society! We believe focusing on true lineage is the most valuable information a breeder can have!
